I am super excited about this. As I've been getting more and more into photography, I've been looking at the different types of gear I could buy later on. I've looked at everything from lenses to strobe flashes. Most of it... expensive. Now, I don't have a job, and there's no way I'm going to spend any of the money I have saved. I need to save. But, over Christmas I received mostly money. So why not get something nice for myself? So what did I get...

Circular Polarizing filter- this was actually a gift from mom. Haven't had a chance to really test it out yet. But from what I've seen of it, will make some awesome sky-scapes.

Macro filters- Basically, magnifying glasses for my lens. It's a set of four filters with incrementing magnification. They work amazingly! Better than I had hoped. And for less than $15, outbeats by far the idea of getting a $300+ macro lens.

35mm f/1.8 Prime lens- This would be the big new toy, so to speak. It hasn't arrived yet. But it shouldn't be long. It's Nikon's cheapest lens, but it seems to be far from cheap in performance. Excited to try out a prime!  

Body Cap- x2 I wanted to start experimenting with pinhole photography. Making a cheap but effective pinhole lens. $3 total.

So, yeah. That's what I got! Add that to the 18-55mm kit lens, 55-200mm zoom, Nikon D3100, remote shutter + timer. There's my load out!
